Felicitations

History is search, to record the events and keep the same would be a blessing to coming generation. The history of the locality and the country is considered as a treasure, because it helps the future prosperity. Family history is also helpful in way since it helps us to make assessment and correction. All that happened need not be for good alone. But still we can learn good lessons from them. We can gather inspiration from all the good things so as to create better tomorrow. Historically is to be encouraged, but it should not be to conquer anybody. The study of history should help us to love each other, help each other and to make corrections.

I sincerely pray that this family history also may be for this

With greetings.

History of the Community is the history of individuals and families and not in reverse. Its consideration is the community and the same in its assets.
In general it is said that the history of the community starts from St.Francis Xavier. It can have different version also. In a sense that the community established a religious structure from the above period is true. Infact the origin of the community should be from far ago It is not Str.Francis Xavier who is the first missionary and emergent, but far ago there were Latin missionaries in this country.
It is read that the Koodarapilly family history starts from 16th century. This may not be final truth might be subjected to correction later,. Let the enquiry and research continue.

A venture of this type is good atleast in this . 21st century , Congrats for the organisers. When our families grow in sense of history, we will be more proud of our community. It is essential for growth and development.

This may help us to find out the treasures among our members and to help them to reach better heights. The family unity is the basis of all this. It is highly necessary that the talents of the community should be encouraged at any effort.

Though this is a family grouping , it should have a theology and philosophy. Then only it will help the liberation of the community. I pray and wish for this fulfillment.

It is with great pleasure that I am sending this message. The Koodarappilly family history is being defected due to the relentless efforts of Shri. Theony Joseph and associates. It was a difficult task to dig out the history of the great Koodarappilly family and its branches, but it has been achieved by the tiresome efforts of the team. My sincere and hearty congratulations for those who have been behind this task.

We are living in a generation where the sense of history is much less. Tracing out the history of own generation and recording the same is much rare in present times, especially among the Latin Catholics of Kerala. The situation prevalent among St.Thomas Xian’s of central Travancore in much different . Recording , the history of generations and keeping the family diary is quite common among them. In this context I remember the’ family tree’ dedicated and exhibited at Mannanam concerning the blessed Chavara Kuriakose Elias. It is much enthusiasing to know the history of own family and its forefathers. This will help the young generation to grow in self esteem and as such to succeed better heights in life.

Further context let me record with gratitude the ‘Koodarappilly connection’ of my our family. It gives me immense pleasure to state that my eldest daughter –in-law Imelda Ajith is the daughter of Daftney Josy who hails from. Koodarappilly family. Let the history of families and its associations may illuminate our path to better development and growth.

With best wishes
